The employment of ground workers will cover a period of 30 to 90 days with the possibility of extension for an additional 90 days.
An amendment was passed in parliament which extends, until June 30, 2023, the deadline for submitting the request for exceptional recall of agricultural workers from a third country for temporary work in the agricultural economy.
With the above provision, the application process is particularly facilitated for those who have been exempted from the entry visa requirement, as well as for those who are in the country and whose residence status has not been regulated, while an electronic platform is working to further facilitate applicants.

The employment of agricultural workers will be for a period of 30 to 90 days with the possibility of extension for an additional 90 days. That is, agricultural workers will be able to stay in the country for 6 months, as long as they are engaged in seasonal agricultural work.

Also, in order to meet the immediate cultivation needs of the olive harvest, it has been provided that for employer requests filed before December 31, 2022, one (1) worker will correspond to fifteen (15) acres of edible olives and one (1) worker to an area of twenty (20) acres in olive oil production and the maximum number of jobs will be determined by the arable area per worker, without the relative numerical limit per territorial unit.
